ENERGYx2020/21 is at a location that is very easy for delegates to reach. The event is a short walk from Chester City Centre and is easily accessible by road, rail and all the public transport facilities one would expect in a city. There is free parking, plenty of local accommodation and places to eat out all within a few minutes’ walk of the venue.
We couldn’t possibly claim to be doing our bit towards achieving Net Zero Carbon if the only practical way of reaching our event venue was by petrol or diesel fuelled vehicles. We encourage delegates to use the fantastic public transport links to ENERGYx2020/21. Chester Racecourse is a short walk from the historic Chester City centre and is very well connected by rail. Direct trains run from London, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool so reaching the event in an environmentally sustainable manner is very easy.
There is an abundance of hotel accommodation in the city including, on-site accommodation at the racecourse and parking for 600 cars.
By Train Chester Racecourse is in the heart of the historic city and is easily accessible by the rail network with trains running frequently to Chester train station. The railway station is a 5-minute bus/taxi ride to the racecourse, or a 10-15-minute walk.
By Car Chester Racecourse is easily reachable and is sign-posted from all major routes. The M53, M56, M6, A41 and A483, are all in close proximity to Chester providing excellent links from Liverpool, Manchester, North Wales, the Midlands and the South of England. There is parking for 600 cars at the venue.
